New Release: The Case of the Haunted House (A Katy Kramer Cozy Mystery)

I’m delighted to tell you that Katy is back. This time, around  she’s solving the Case of the Haunted House .  There was an unavoidable delay with this one, so it’s coming to you a few days after I expected. Hopefully it’s worth the wait.

As always, this one is available free to those with Kindle Unlimited subscriptions.  The blurb and the store links are below.

The Case of the Haunted House

Katy Kramer, Paranormal PI?

When Katy’s latest two cases involve haunted houses and badly-behaving mirrors, she’s feeling less like a witch hunter and more like a ghost hunter.  Together with Ned, Hamish and Cleo, she sets to work on solving the mysteries.

But as the bodies rack up, it’s clear that neither of these cases is simple.  The ghost of Jim McGinty insists his death was a murder, so Katy and her friends need to find the killer before they strike again.  It would all be so much easier if Jim would just tell them who killed him, but no one ever said that ghosts were sensible.

In a week filled with stubborn spirits, angry werewolves, unusual musicals and sexy vampires, Katy’s beginning to feel a little overwhelmed.  To top it all off, she must continue to hide the truth about herself.  Because if she tells her new friends she’s a witch hunter, she could lose them forever.

There’s someone who does know the truth, though – the irritating Wayfarer agent, Cullen Keats.  He might be the last person Katy wants as a partner, but this time around, he could be exactly what she needs …

New Release: The Case of the Wayward Witch (A Katy Kramer Cozy Mystery)

I’ve got a brand new series!  Katy Kramer, descended from a long line of witch hunters, is about to discover that witches might not be so bad, after all …

The second book in the series – The Case of the Haunted House – is due for release in late August.  And as for my other witches … they’ll be back this autumn/winter in some all-new adventures.  As always, it’s free to read in Kindle Unlimited.  The blurb and the store links are below.

The Case of the Wayward Witch

Witches are supposed to be the bad guys, right?

In the Kramer family, everyone is a witch hunter – well, everyone except the women.  But with Uncle Faster out of action, and a boyfriend-killing witch on the loose, it might finally be Katy’s time to shine.

Going deep undercover at a necromancy supply store seems like a terrifying plan, but Katy soon discovers that her new friends and neighbours aren’t quite as evil as she was led to believe.  She begins to suspect that she might be tracking the wrong witch, after all.

Will Katy discover the real killer in time?  And will she prove, once and for all, that women are up to the job?

In the latest tale from A.A. Albright, you’ll meet the feisty Katy Kramer, a wizard-turned-dog called Hamish, a sarcastic cat called Cleo, and a whole new cast of characters.  A few old favourites might also pop in to say hello …

Out Now: Riddler’s Edge Book Seven

Hi guys,

It’s first thing in the morning here, and I feel in need of a cup of coffee.  But before I do that, I want to let you know that  Book 7 of the Riddler’s Edge series went live while I was sleeping, and is now available to download.

I need to tell you ahead of time that this one’s going to be a bit of a nail-biter, guys.  Everything with Vlad’s Boys will finally come to a head, and there might be moments where the stress makes you throw your kindles and tablets against the walls.  But hold off doing that, will you?  Firstly, those devices are expensive, and secondly, believe me when I promise you that the nail-biting portion of the book does end on a high note.  You should all (hopefully) be satisfied with the way the story ends.

On a slightly more schmaltzy note,  I’d also like to tell you that I appreciate so much all of the readers who’ve read through the series so far, and signed up for my newsletter or blog to boot.

Wherever you go to keep up to date with my new releases, I’m happy to have you as a reader.

Here’s the blurb:

The battle is on …

Aisling and her friends have been trying to find the leader of Vlad’s Boys for a long time. Now, they finally know the truth behind the vampire gang. Unfortunately, they also know that Vlad’s Boys have a new, unknown source of power to rely on, and beating them seems like an impossible task.

But there are other troubling things happening in Riddler’s Edge. Wizards are being murdered in a very unusual way. And Greg – recently turned into a vampire – is enjoying his new life a little bit too much.

They need to find a way to turn their lollipop-loving wizard back into himself again, because without Greg on their side, the fight against Vlad’s Boys might well be lost.

Out Now: Riddler’s Edge Book Six

Happy Friday Everyone,

I’ve got a new release from Riddler’s Edge for you guys.  Book Six in the series is now available to download from Amazon.  Hopefully you all enjoy this one. The next release will be in a few weeks’ time, another tale from Riddler’s Edge, titled A Little Bit Vampy.

 Old-School Witch

Is it ever a good idea to dig up the past?

When a member of the Historical Society is murdered, there’s no magical cause to be found.  If anything, it seems like it might be a case of simple revenge.  But when the society goes on to unveil an old, forgotten school in Riddler’s Edge, it seems that there could be far more to the murder than meets the eye.

Riddler’s Edge School for the Gifted was a safe haven for supernatural children.  So why was the school set on fire in the sixties?  And why has it been forgotten until now?

In order to find the real murderer, Ash and the gang must first find the surviving students.  Along the way, they might just dig up some more secrets, too – like who is really behind the group known as Vlad’s Boys?

And until they find the answers, they have a wedding to organise, a wedding that almost everyone believes is doomed …

Out Now: Wayfair Witches Book 10

Hi all,

Forget Me Knot, the tenth adventure for Wanda Wayfair and her coven, is now available to download on Amazon.  At the beginning of this one, we find that Wanda is not only a Peacemaker, but is also married to Will Berry.  Read the book, and all will be revealed.

Forget Me Knot

All is well in Riddler’s Cove. There’s no crime, no illness, and Wanda Wayfair is engaged to Will Berry, the greatest Minister for Magical Law that the world has ever known.

Hey, wait a minute … that doesn’t sound quite right, does it? Maybe things aren’t going so well in Riddler’s Cove, after all. And if something strange is afoot, well, Wanda sure can’t be the one to solve it, because she doesn’t have an ounce of magic to her name.

When some healers are murdered, and their familiars ask Wanda for help, she begins to wonder: is she really the unempowered witch she believes herself to be? Or is someone changing the world to suit themselves?

The dead healers aren’t the only ones who need help. Two busloads of weredogs have gone missing, on their way to the holiday of a lifetime.

With her coven by her side, can Wanda regain her power? And when she does, will this strange new world finally begin to make sense?

New Release: Riddler’s Edge Book Five

It’s almost Christmas, and the latest release from the Riddler’s Edge series just happens to be a festive tale.  You’d almost think I planned it that way 🙂

So Very Unfae

The holidays are coming.  It’s a time for family, frolics and … mince-pie murders?

All that Aisling wants to focus on this Christmas is how to reunite with her long-lost family, but Riddler’s Edge has other ideas in mind.  When a mince-pie muncher dies at the local holiday market, it seems she might have to put her hopes on hold.

The victim hadn’t just come to Riddler’s Edge to enjoy the festivities.  He had come to see Dylan Quinn, but what they don’t know, is why.

When another man dies – a man who worked for the same, mysterious company as the first victim – it seems clear that there’s a connection.

On the surface of things, these deaths seem like accidents.  Aisling really hopes that they are, because right now, she has other problems – as she works to free her parents, it seems that someone might be trying to scupper her plans.

There’s a lot to overcome if Aisling is ever going to have her perfect Christmas.  But someone as stubborn as her ought to be able to manage it all.  Right?

Out Now: Swotting Up

Hurrah, it’s here!  Book Nine of the Wayfair Witches series is available to download from Amazon today.  I hope you all enjoy it 🙂

The Blurb:

College isn’t quite as much fun as Wanda Wayfair had hoped. But when a dead body turns up in the library, it seems like her crime-solving life might be calling her back.

There’s more at risk, though, than finding the killer. Wanda and the gang also need to track down a Bad, Bad Book – quite possibly the worst book of all.

But as more murders take place, it seems like time might be running out. Will they find the book, and the killer, before an ancient evil is unleashed upon the world?
