A Quick Little Update (and some summer fun)

Hi all,

We’ve been having some rare sun over here, which has been wonderful. My dog has taken up permanent residence in front of the air conditioning unit, snoring his little heart out.

But before I go and wake him up with one of his favourite biscuits, I wanted to  let you guys know a couple of things. The first is that Deadly Duchess, book ten in the Museum of Magical Artefacts, is happily on schedule to be released in October. The second is that there’s a pretty great special offer running right now, on a combined Katy Kramer/Infernal Artefacts boxed set at 99c/99p. Coming Soon: Eternal Love

Hi guys,

First of all, I want to wish you a happy-whatever-you-celebrate. For me it’s Christmas, and no one is looking more forward to the big day than my dog. He keeps sniffing the pressies under the tree, wondering which ones are for him. As for me, I plan to eat a lot of chocolate, enjoy the sparkly lights, and relax.

I also want to tell you that the eighth book in the Museum of Magical Artefacts series will be out in the first week of February. It’s called Eternal Love, and if you want to get it straight to your kindle on release day, you can pre-order it now. Annie and friends have been sent on another quest. This time, they must find Mick’s spearhead before their enemies do. Luckily, the museum’s resident ghost might have some information for them. But unluckily, that ghost is unable to talk.

When they finally find the means to communicate, the ghost sets them on a path – a path which leads them to a haunted house and, more surprisingly, to Jake’s coven land, Doolally.

Along the way, there are unusual murders and eight-legged creeps, but with the help of their furry familiars, they’re about to solve more mysteries than the one they set out to unravel.

A staff night out ends in murder, and Annie and the gang investigate. The murder victim had something to tell Annie before he died, but what? When his missing gramophone turns up in the museum, Annie finally has a clue.

The case seems straightforward at first, but it soon becomes clear that it will be far from easy to find the truth – especially as everyone seems to be just a little bit busy singing and dancing. Has their musical night out inspired them, or is something more sinister going on?

There are other troubles, too – and possibly far bigger ones. The museum’s magic seems to be failing, and Annie’s secrets are quickly slipping out. Can they find what they need to repair the museum’s protections in time?

Bad Egg CoverIt’s never easy to deal with a dragon …

Once again, Annie and the gang are hunting for the chalice. This time, they’re journeying into the museum’s mysterious Lost and Found room. Only … it’s not quite a room. It’s an enormous bloody valley.

Mick believes that a dragon has taken the chalice to her mountain, and if they want it back, they’ll have to give the dragon something called a Bad Egg. There’s only one problem – right before they’re due to get their hands on one of these eggs, someone else swoops in and takes it.

The gang are determined to pursue the egg thief – and to get to Fee’s wand before that can be stolen, too. But as soon as they arrive in the valley, they realise this latest quest is going to be far more difficult than they thought.

There’s a killer in the valley, leaving bodies in their path …

The gang must journey through a world filled with creepy cult members, giant spiders, dangerous flowers and riddle-loving ghosts, so that they can track down their Bad Egg – and Fee’s wand – and make it to the dragon’s mountain on time. Along the way, secrets are revealed, and relationships might never be the same again …

Annie has a lot going on.  Her familiar is missing, she has a crush on Jake Doolin, and she’s just started Pilates.  She doesn’t have time to solve a murder – and she certainly doesn’t want to deal with Laine Shannon, the cocky treasure hunter who’s asked her out.
